Getting started

What GrantVetted does

GrantVetted finds open grants for rural health organisations, volunteer fire and EMS departments, and small businesses seeking SBIR and STTR research funding.

Every listing is checked against the funder's own page, and carries the date we checked it. We also keep a fingerprint (a sha256 hash) of what that page said, so we can tell when it changes. Paid members get the verified list by email each week.

Where the listings come from

We look in Grants.gov, in RHIhub (the Rural Health Information Hub), and on funders' own program pages, such as the National Science Foundation's SBIR page.

We rebuild the list every week. A grant is listed only while it is open or forecast, and only when its own words show it fits the niche — the reason shown under each listing is quoted from the funder. A grant whose deadlines have all passed drops off at the next rebuild.

Why isn't a grant I know about listed?

Usually one of these: it is closed or not yet forecast; its own description does not say it serves the niche; its funder page could not be read or verified (for example, a site that blocks automated checks, or a link to a homepage rather than the program); or it is published somewhere we do not read yet.

If you think we missed one, send it to us with the Contact form and choose "A listing" — suggestions are how we add new sources.

A listing looks wrong

Funders change their pages. If a deadline, amount or link looks wrong, the funder's page is the authority — open it with "View on source". Then tell us with the Contact form and choose "A listing", so we can correct it for everyone.

Signing in and your account

I can't sign in

Check the email is the one you signed up with. Passwords are at least 12 characters and are case-sensitive.

Signing in needs one cookie, which keeps you signed in. If your browser blocks all cookies for this site, signing in will not stick.

After 10 tries in a minute we pause sign-ins from your connection — wait a minute and try again.

Still stuck? Use "Forgot your password?" on the sign-in page.

Reset a forgotten password

On the sign-in page choose "Forgot your password?" and enter your email. If an account exists for it, we send a link to choose a new password.

The link works once and expires in one hour. Using it signs you out of every device, so sign in again with the new password.

No email after a few minutes? Check your spam or junk folder, then ask for a new link. If it still does not arrive, contact us.

Change your password or sign out everywhere

Open Your account from the members area. Changing your password needs your current one; every other device is signed out and this one stays signed in.

"Sign out everywhere else" signs out every other browser and device without changing your password — useful after signing in on a shared computer.

How long you stay signed in

You stay signed in on a device for 30 days. Signing out removes the sign-in cookie from that browser.

AI assistants

Connect your AI assistant

You can let an AI assistant that supports MCP connectors (the Model Context Protocol) use your GrantVetted account for you. In the assistant, add a connector with the address https://grantvetted.com/mcp. The assistant then opens a GrantVetted page where you sign in, or create an account, and approve it.

The page shows the assistant's name, where it comes from and where it sends you back to, and lists what it asks to do. It can ask for any of these:

See and update your organisation profile: its name, state, mission and the other details you entered.

See the grants matched to your organisation, each with the date we verified it, the funder's own page and its deadline.

On the Pro plan, draft application sections from facts it gives, and read your drafts. Each draft counts against your plan's drafts, the same as drafting on the site.

See your plan, start a checkout for a plan, and get a link to Stripe's billing portal. Whoever opens that portal link can change or cancel your plan and update your card on Stripe's page. You confirm and pay on Stripe's own page; the assistant never sees your card.

Write to GrantVetted support for you.

It can never see or change your password or email address, delete your account or your data, see your card, pay for you, or reach anything outside your own account.

A new account confirms its email address before it can connect an assistant: open the link we email you, then go back to the page. If you closed it, Your account shows the assistant waiting for you.

An assistant can start a checkout for you, but it never sees your card: it gives you a link to Stripe's own Checkout page, and nothing is bought until you confirm there. It can also get you a link to Stripe's billing portal; whoever opens that link can change or cancel your plan and update your card, so open it yourself and do not pass it on. The plans, prices and free trial are the same as on the site, and so is the billing and refund policy. We do not offer partial-month refunds. A yearly plan is refunded in full if you ask within 30 days of a yearly charge. The digest plans start with a 14-day free trial and Pro with a 7-day free trial that includes 3 drafts, one free trial per member; your card is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.

Drafts an assistant asks for count against your plan's drafts, the same as drafting on the site, including the 3 drafts in the Pro free trial. Review every draft before you use it.

Its access lasts an hour at a time and renews by itself while you stay connected; a connection that is not used for 30 days ends by itself. On Your account, under Connected agents, you see each assistant, what it may do, when you connected it and when it last acted. Disconnect ends its access at once.

We log which tool an assistant used and when, never what it wrote or what we answered. A message it sends to support is kept like any other support message. To delete your account and data, write to us yourself: an assistant cannot ask for that.

Plans and billing

The plans

Rural Health Digest — $49 a month or $490 a year. Fire & EMS Digest — $49 a month or $490 a year. Both Digests — $89 a month or $890 a year. Pro — $149 a month or $1,490 a year: both digests plus the application workspace and drafting. A yearly plan costs ten months: two months free.

The digest plans start with a 14-day free trial and Pro with a 7-day free trial that includes 3 drafts, one free trial per member. Your card is taken when you start the trial, and your card is charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.

Payment is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card.

Change plan, update your card, or cancel

Open Your account and choose Manage billing. Stripe's secure portal lets you change plan, update your card, see invoices and cancel.

If you cancel, access continues until the end of the current billing period. To avoid being charged after a free trial, cancel before the trial ends.

A plan change takes effect straight away and is worked out to the day: moving up is charged now, and moving down leaves a credit on your next bill. A credit is not a refund.

Refunds

We do not offer partial-month refunds — cancelling stops the next charge, and access continues until the end of the period you paid for.

A yearly plan is refunded in full if you ask within 30 days of a yearly charge; after that, access continues until the end of the year you paid for. To ask, contact us with "Plans and billing".

If you think you were charged by mistake, contact us with "Plans and billing" and we will look into it.

A payment failed

Until a payment goes through, your weekly digest and drafting are paused; they start again as soon as it does.

Update your card in Manage billing. If the payment still fails, contact us with "Plans and billing" — we can see what Stripe reported.

The application workspace (Pro)

What the application workspace does

On the Pro plan, choose a grant from your weekly list to open its workspace. We read the funder's announcement, list the requirements we can find, each with the passage it comes from, and fill in what your organisation profile answers — marking plainly what you still need to supply.

We never submit anything for you. You apply through the funder's own system.

Drafting a narrative section

On a narrative section, type facts about your project, one per line — the need, what you will do, who it serves, the numbers you can stand behind — and choose Draft this section.

An AI model writes the draft, and we keep only sentences your facts support. Anything else is left out and listed with the reason, so you can see what was cut.

A draft takes a minute or two; you can leave the page and come back. You get 30 drafts a month, and the allowance renews on the 1st. A draft is a starting point: read it, correct it, and stand behind every statement before you submit.

"We could not read this announcement's requirements"

Some announcements are scanned documents or are published in a form we cannot read reliably. Rather than guess, we say so and link the funder's own announcement — read the requirements there.

SBIR and STTR

The SBIR eligibility check

The check reports what your own answers show against the Small Business Administration's rules. It is guidance, not a legal determination: the funding agency decides, and you should confirm with its program officer before you apply.

One rule surprises many founders: the principal investigator's primary employment must be with the small business at the time of award and for the whole award. The National Science Foundation defines that as at least 51 percent, and counts other employment of more than 19.6 hours a week as a conflict.

STTR is similar, but the small business works with a research institution, and the principal investigator may be employed by either.

Email

The weekly digest

Paid members get the verified listings for their plan by email each week. Every digest has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.

The free monthly sample

Anyone can get a free sample of GrantVetted by email: on the first Monday of each month, a few grants from the verified digest you choose (rural health, fire & EMS, or both), each with its Verified date and a link to the funder’s own posting. No card or account is needed. Sign up at the bottom of the home page or a digest page.

We email you once to confirm your address. The link works once and expires in 7 days; until you confirm, we send nothing else. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then sign up again.

Every sample has an unsubscribe link at the bottom: one click takes you off the list and deletes your address, the grants you chose and your consent record. You can also use the Contact form and choose "Delete my account and data"; we delete it within 30 days.

I'm not getting your emails

Check your spam or junk folder, and add our sending address to your contacts. If your organisation filters email, ask your IT contact to allow it. Still nothing? Contact us.

Privacy and your data

What we keep, and deleting it

The privacy policy lists everything we keep and every service we use.

To delete your account, profile, project facts and drafts, use the Contact form and choose "Delete my account and data". We delete it within 30 days.

Troubleshooting

A page won't load or a button does nothing

Reload the page. The members area needs JavaScript and a current browser (a recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari).

If a message says you are not signed in, sign in again — sessions end after 30 days or when you sign out everywhere.

Still broken? Contact us with "Something isn't working", and say which page and what you saw.

Still need help?

Send us a message and we will reply by email. Signed-in members can see their messages and our replies on Your account.
